This privacy policy applies to the HitvBox Movies app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by HitvBox Movies Developer (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

The Application provides native movie and TV discovery, favorites, quizzes, achievements, and optional AI Chat. Favorites, quiz progress, achievements, and local chat history are stored on your device. The Application may process the following information when you use specific features:

• Movie and TV search terms that you enter, which are sent to The Movie Database (TMDB) to return titles, posters, backdrops, and details.
• AI Chat message text, a chat_id, and a fixed movie/TV system_prompt, but only after you grant explicit AI Chat data-sharing consent.
• Feedback form information that you choose to submit, such as your email address and message.
• Basic device and app information used for diagnostics, attribution, and fraud prevention, such as IP address, app version, operating system version, and limited advertising attribution data when allowed by App Tracking Transparency.

The Application does not collect precise location data and does not stream movies or TV shows.

The Service Provider shares information with third parties only as needed to provide the Application's features, operate the service, comply with law, or protect the Application. These providers are required to protect data with the same or equivalent safeguards described in this policy and may not use disclosed data for unrelated independent purposes.

• TMDB receives movie and TV API requests, including search terms, to provide metadata, posters, backdrops, and title details.
• The AI chat service hosted at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app on Railway infrastructure receives AI Chat data only after explicit user consent, as described below.
• Branch and Facebook may receive attribution or app event data for campaign measurement. The Application requests Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission in the first active app session before using the advertising identifier for tracking. If tracking permission is denied, the Application does not intentionally send the advertising identifier.

AI Chat is optional. No AI Chat network request is sent until you tap the in-app consent button. If you choose to use AI Chat and grant consent, the Application sends the text of each message you enter or select, a chat_id created for the chat session, and a fixed system_prompt about movies and TV shows to the AI chat service hosted at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app on Railway infrastructure. This data is processed only to generate chat responses, movie recommendations, TV recommendations, and cinema-related answers. The Application does not automatically send favorites, quizzes, achievements, search history, or tracking data to the AI chat service. You can revoke AI Chat data sharing in Settings; revocation resets the local chat session and blocks further AI Chat requests until you consent again.

The Application uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission request for attribution and advertising identifier access. The ATT prompt is requested from the first active app session. You can allow or deny tracking, and you can change tracking permission later in iOS Settings.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with trusted service providers who work on their behalf under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. You can also revoke AI Chat data sharing in the Application's Settings screen and manage tracking permission in iOS Settings.

Favorites, quiz progress, achievements, and chat history stored by the Application remain on your device until you delete or reset them, revoke AI Chat data sharing, or uninstall the Application. Server-side data submitted through feedback or processed by service providers is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the requested feature, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If you would like the Service Provider to delete User Provided Data, please contact hitvboxmovies@gmail.com.

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and uses reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information processed and maintained.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for changes.

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. AI Chat data sharing requires a separate explicit in-app consent before any AI Chat network request is sent.
